BogeyMan
Didn't Danny Cornett score 80 in a game for Breckinridge in the early 1960's? This may take some of us old timers to remember.

This may take some of us old timers to remember. These were just the leaders in the 16th Region. Not the top of the list for the whole state, just the ones that made the list in 16th Region. But to answer your question Danny Cornett is third on the list with 87 vs. Carter City. Top of the list is Wayne Oakley with 114 pts in a game. Top of the list is Wayne Oakley with 114 pts in a game. I believe this game was played in Button Auditorium at MSU. Cornett had 44 points the first half. The Carter City coach (Paul Webb) told his Carter Wildcats they better not allow Cornett to score another 44 points the second half. Cornett only scored 43 points the second half as the story goes.
