Good game to watch. I believe Housley led all scores with 24 points and added 13 rebounds. Darnell had 17. Love had twenty something for villa, not sure exactly. Newport kept going up by 15 or so, then villa kept coming back. I think they had it down to 6 with about thirty seconds to go. Darnell did recieve two technical fouls, one with about 10 seconds left. They were pretty weak technicals if you ask me. I don't know what everyone else thinks that was at the game. If the rule is the same as it used to be, I believe he has to sit out a game.

 

It was a loud atmosphere at villa and was really a great game. Congrats to Newport on the win. Nice job to Villa as well for staying with them. Newport should give some of the bigger schools some problems this year. They are now 3-0. Very athletic and young bunch of players.

Always hate to see a kids get two techs in the same game. Yes he will have to sit the next one out. Sounds like Villa has a pretty decent team and Love is a pretty good player.

Newport has a very talented team this year. IMO, I think that the Housley kid is one of the top three players in the 9th region!!
