Will football schools try to move basketball games?

Featured Replies

The football schools that go far into the playoffs will not have their players that play both sports until the first or second week in December. Will these teams try to move games back or do they plan for this and not have a real hard game until later in the season?

For example, if Hazard goes all the way, their rivalry game with Perry Central is Dec 11th. Real early for that game, especially if you only have 8 players. Without the football ones, they are a little short handed. Will they try to move that game, or would PCC hold them to the contract date? Just wondering.

With Football starting later and a bye week basketball needs to stat later. I would like to see the bye week taken out.

I would think - yes they will hold them to that date.

Most NKY schools that have football teams traditionally go deep in the playoffs schedule very lightly until after the football finals. Still, if any games are scheduled they generally are played even if it means a lot of players missing.
