Wow! Got in from this game not to long ago.. all i'm going to say right now is VERY impressive defensive showing by the Hornets! I'll talk more on this game tomorrow when I get up.

This to me was the shocker of the evening, not necessarily the victory, but the margin of victory. I said early this year that I think Will Warf is the hidden gem at QB in this state.

What's up with the Hornets??? I'm an old school Metcalfe fan... father's home town. Are we talking state contender??? Anyone out there with some insight on Metcalfe's dominance? What a great coaching job by that staff. Congratulations on a huge win!

Metcalfe County was just dominant the whole game. I've never seen anything like last night before in my life! Metcalfe's spirit soared sky high.. just like they knew they were going to not only win this game.. but dominate Green County in every aspect. After going down 27-14 right before halftime, Green looked lost.. which i'm sure they were because they havent been man handled like that the whole season. The second half was just total domination by the Hornets. I'm not sure how many yards Metcalfe's RB had.. but Daniel Deleon was just unstoppable. Green County either couldnt catch him, or couldnt tackle him.. several times last night he just lowered his shoulder and plowed through one of the Dragon defenders.

And you cant have a Metcalfe post without mentioning Will Warf. He was the player of the game along with Deleon in my eyes. Beautiful passes with beautiful catches. Without a doubt one of the best, if not the best QB in the state. I know Lone Oak's Corey Robinson is doing big things this season. But if you get a chance to watch Warf here in the playoffs.. do it! You wont be sorry.

Metcalfe's defense was just incredible. Green's O-line couldnt hold the Metcalfe D-line, and Green's famous option run was shut down all night.

This is by far the best game i've seen all season. The atmosphere before the game was just amazing and nothing like i've ever seen.

Congrats Metcalfe......I had no doubt that you guys would win this rematch. As for Warf, I have only saw him one time but his accuracy was "SICK" it was like he was throwing darts. He does a great job controlling game with short passing game and managing the run game.

Way 2 go, Hornets!! It's great to see programs with limited past successes achieve as a result of hard work and dedication. Here's wishing MC the very best of luck!:dancingpa

This score is very surprising to me. Not that I thought Metcalfe wasn't this strong or couldn't win the game, just that I felt Green Co was one of the better teams in class AA and a little undervalued and would have played a little better. Metcalfes program has really gotten better and better each year for the past 4-5 years and have become a serious contender. Trigg will be a challenge but I believe they've got enough talent to win that game. Ft Campbell will be a much tougher challenge and will possess great athleticism that could be too much to overcome, but, hey, thats why you play the games. Good luck the rest of the way.
