Hensley Rating System's Class 5A Picks (Playoff Week #2)

Featured Replies

After an expected successful first week, let's see how things go once again for the Hensley Rating System.

I've decided to add some additional information to this week's HRS Picks. I'm going to include the result of the first meeting between each school (and that information will be in blue colored fonts).

So here goes nothing and I hope that everyone enjoys this and knows that it is JUST for fun.

Region 1

Owensbor defeats Christian County by 17.65 (OHS won first meeting by 2)

Anderson county defeats Oldham County by 12.45 (ACHS won first meeting by 4)

Region 2

Bowling Green defeats Warren Central by 37.6 (BGHS won first meeting by 56)

John Hardin defeats Doss by 30.6 JHHS won first meeting by 28

Region 3

Highlands defeats Covington Catholic by 24.2 (HHS won first meeting by 14)

Letcher County Central defeats Clay County by 9.95 (LCC won first meeting by 3)

Region 4

Johnson Central defeats Montgomery County by 28.95 (JCHS won first meeting by 21)

Lincoln County defeats Pulaski County by 21 LCHS won first meeting by 28

I still don't know how this guy comes up wtih these numbers....

I don't think Lincoln Co. will win by 21 this time. I think the Pats win, just not by 21.

I hope he's wrong again. .

Johnson Central defeats Montgomery County by 28.95 (JCHS won first meeting by 21)

Looks good to me.

I've never seen 28.95 on a scoreboard though... :lol::D

You know what I mean...lol.

As far as how I get the numbers, it is simple.

I take the Cantrall Rating and add it to the Lit Rating. Once I have that sum, I divide it by 2 to get the average of the two rating systems. Once I have the average, I apply it to each game by subtracting the higher total by the lower total...THEN I give the home team an added 6 points for "home field advantage"...that if they are in fact playing it on their home field instead of someone elses field as in the case for Louisville DeSales.

I can hear the announcer's now...

"And they line up to go for the .95 conversion." :D:lol:
