1st year head baseball coach Brandon Evans has resigned as the teams coach last week. Brandon cited work related priorities as the reason for the short exit. Brandon works for a local bank and with new responsibilities he felt like he could not be obligated to coaching full time.

 

Brandon did an excellent job in his first year as skipper. He guided the Cougars to their first district title since 1997 and had a 22-11 record.

 

Morgan County is somewhat loaded for the future. Numerous young kids who are talented along with 6-7 everyday starters should yield another solid season in West Liberty.
