Plato
Does your school play an alumni game? Faculty game? I know Montgomery Co. had a big alumni event last year on Thanksgiving weekend. It was well attended and the team made some $$$ I don't think an alumni game counts as an official scrimmage or contest, but I'm not positive about that. Big Slick
If it is against the school team it would have to be considered a scrimmage, if the way that rule was explained to me was correct.
sumoroyal
I believe it does count as an scrimmage and that it why most schools does not do it. I think even if the girls varsity plays against the freshman boys it counts as a scrimmage.
Master of the Hardwood
If you can run an alumni day and have odd years play the even years in boys and girls or something to that effect you can make a lot of money and not have to count it as a scrimmage because your teams would not be playing. You can do a 3 pt contest or dunk contest, etc, to also make some extra money too.
EthanKings#1fan
Pendleton county had their 2005 team play the 2006 squad in the summer of 2006, the game cost $7.00 to attend with attendance being poor. I think everybody involved thought it would be a large crowd when the even was planned.
Master of the Hardwood
The $7 price may of kept people away. Why not charge $3 to get in and sell concessions and make a lot more money that way! $7 to get in was ridiculous.
