Henlsey Rating System Class 6A Top 10 - Week #6

Ladies and gentlemen, for the first time in the three seasons that I have done the Hensley Rating System; I have decided to start doing the ratings for the regular season and not just the playoffs.

 

I must not take any credit for the numbers that are produced...however; all the credit goes to both the Louisville Courier-Journal's LitRatings and the Lexington Herald-Leader's CantrallRatings. All that I have done is to enter the figures from both papers into an Excel sheet, added them together and divided by two, sort them into order from highest to lowest, and post them.

 

I will be maintaining the HRS for the remainder of the season so please be sure to post your comments about them and to keep checking back each and every week for updated standings.

I'm a bit perplexed in reference to PRP. They have beateen Doss and Butler and lost to Cathederal(INDY), Ballard, Eastern. B and E ranked below them, so how does PRP rate so high? Does score differential mean that much?

My number are solely based off the number I get from the LitRatings and CantrallRatings.

Of the top 10 in 6A, I am not impressed with PRP or Ballard. However, the top 10 is only the top 30% of the class with our new, wonderful playoff alignment!

I agree with you! In an older thread, I made the comment that almost every year PRP gets a high preseason ranking and more times than not, doesn't live up to its billing. With a 2-3 record and losses to Ballard and Eastern, who also have better records against similar competition, does make it a bit more than a bit perplexing...
