Fort Campbell/Marshall Co scrimmage

Fort Campbell's running game looked much better then last week and they had one Defensive TD on an interception return. Marshall County's running game was pretty good, it often took two, three, or four defenders to tackle MCs RB. The first half was pretty even, but FC took over in the second half out scoring MC 3 to 1. Hopefully this bodes well for 2A FC as they travel to Graves County (6A) next week for thier first game.

Sounds like Fort Campbell looked better this week than last. Offensively, the Falcons appear to be in good shape.

How is Croft from FC looking so far, and is the FC defense going to be as good as years past?

Croft is looking pretty good. He had several incomplete passes, some bad throws, but a few were bad routes by the WRs. One good note is that he didn't throw an interception last night. I believe he had two against Warren Central. Croft had two key passes, one to Turner for about 40 yards and one TD pass (missed coverage on the D), not sure who the reciever was on that one. He also had a couple of key runs last night on 3rd downs and I believe two running TDs.

As far as FCs Defense: they had the one interception for a TD in the first half and adjusted well at half time to Marshall County's running game. I think what they give in size they make up for in speed. FC wasn't getting much pressure on the QB in the first half, but again adjusted well in the second and started forcing some bad throws and I think one or two sacks.

I think if FC can keep from turning the ball over and keep from getting key penalties they can go far this year, even though thier schedule is the hardest I've seen.
