transfers?

Seems like I'm reading about a lot of transfers. Nearly every time I log in on this site some team is getting a new player. Will these kids be allowed to play this year? My understanding is they will have to wait a year if they played varsity last year. I know there are some legit reasons for which exemptions can be made but exemptions , even for legit reasons, are not necessarily automatic. It does seem that a lot of really good players are transferring and I have a hard time believing that all of these are legit!

Transfers, are considered on an individual basis and no blanket okay/not okay, can be offered.

 

The KHSAA has specific ByLaws, regarding this issue and we're not going to dissect, individual cases on BGP.

 

4. No school-specific (or general) recruiting comments or allegations of KHSAA rules violations by any school, coach, player or booster are allowed. No talking about where any player lives, has lived, or where they are from in a recruiting context. This is not the place to report KHSAA violations.
