Anyone have any updates on District Play?

 

Anyone know what leagues are playing by the new 50/70 Division.

 

I know that Boyd County will compete at that level.

That is the new division that Cal Ripken has started this year.

50 ft mound

70 ft bases

Major League Rules, can leadoff and steal and run on dropped 3rd strike.

 

This year, all Cal Ripken leagues have the option to play 50/70 or 46/60, which is like Little League rules.

 

This is Cal Ripken's way to prove they are now the elite Youth Organization. Especially in KY.

Yeah, the only differences in AABC and Cal Ripken now is the bat size allowed. No big barrell bats are allowed in Cal Ripken. Of course AABC does not hardly even exist in the state of Ky any more other than NKY Leagues. My AABC BC Team last year had to go play in the Ohio State Tournament in Cincy area, because there wasnt a Ky State Tournament. Even the Ky State Director resigned a year or two ago. AABC ball in the cincy area really isnt the same. They have NO outfield fences on the ballfields, they have completely taken the big homerun hitters that cant fly on the bases out of the game at a young age.
