How much of a disadvantage will the winners that draw Male and Trinity face as opposed to those who draw CAL and Atherton?

St.X is red hot and is full of confidence having beaten Trinity,Ballard,Male,CAL in the last couple of weeks. I really think they are the best team right now but in baseball one game anything can happen.

I haven't confirmed this but I'm hearing that CAL beat Eastern for the district championship. That's a huge upset and it makes Trinity, Male and Eastern all runners up. Whoever draws Atherton in the first round (Ballard, CAL or X) has a huge advantage now.

Welcome to the site SC. Not to be misconstrued, which SC are you a fan of? South Carolina, SoCAL, ?

 

Potential Path for any of the district winners.

Trinity 1st round, Eastern 2nd round, Ballard or St X in the final> Wow!! Winner gets PRP 2 out of three at PRP in the semistate. The winner better be good at the no. 2 and 3 pitcher plus reliever.

One thing that impressed me was CAL prayed at the end of every game with the other team on the field. Regardless of the outcome, they still got together with their opponents. I don't know how far they will go in the region but I have a sentimental favorite.

St. X has to be the clear favorite. Strong pitching from McCormick, McDonald, Amlung and hitting from Erie & Zoeller definitely puts them in the front of the pack.

Based on recent weeks successful outcomes, St. X is clearly the FAVORITE in the 7th Region. However, On Any given Day/Night, any team can get hot and make the better team look silly.

 

The Tigers Coaching Staff has their work cut out for them trying to keep these kids grounded. If they let their resent success go to their heads, they'll be watching from the outfield fence instead of playing in the game.
