BE wins the district title in a very tight ballgame. Matthew Bowles relieved Travis Broughton early in the game after Travis sustained a shoulder injury. Bowles gets the win, couple that with Brandon Alphin's performance against North Bullitt in the semi's and BE won the district behind the pitching of 2 freshmen.

No suprise here. These two guys lead the Ky Comets staff for several years and are without a doubt two of the best freshman pitchers in the state. Add to this group Tyler Wright and Keaton Hall who both were named to their all-district team as freshman and you will have four Comets helping to lead their team in the post season.
