WebGems37 Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Senior RF Kurt Kordenbrock blew open a 4-4 game in the top of the 5th with a 3 run double to the right center field wall to lead Boone to a 7-5 win over the Crusaders in the 33rd District Semi. Mark Reed had 2 hits, including a double, for Boone and also drove in 3 runs. Brad Krohman went the distance for Boone for his 8th win of the year, allowing only 1 run over the last 4 innings. Cory Farris added 2 hits, including a double, scored 2 runs, and had a SB. Solid, team effort for Boone, who bested St. Henry for the first time this year. A full house of several hundred fans saw a good one today in Florence. Boone faces Ryle tomorrow at 5 PM for the District title.
Diamond Dandy Posted May 24, 2007 Posted May 24, 2007 Scary moment in about the fifth inning when Nick Ryan drilled a line shot up the middle that caught Brad in the mid section. He picked the ball up and made the play then hit the ground for a few moments. Hope he's ok. Look forward to seeing you tonight WG.
