Breathitt 9 Hazard 8 (8 innings)

Featured Replies

Eye opener? Breathitt got great pitching, and neither team played great defense. It was nice to see some high school kids in need of a big win sprinting to the plate as the winning run scored.

Again, really impressed with the Bobcats pitching performance. I guess they have more than just Ritchie. Lawson threw 5 innings of off-speed, Marshall has regained his form of last year and threw 2 innings, including getting out of a bases loaded jam that he came in to. Ritchie threw the last inning, and was his usual self.

Also really impressed with Hoskins from Hazard, the best all around player I've seen in the 14th this year, by far! He was 4-5 with 2 singles, a double, and a triple. He also dove for a foul ball while catching in an attempt to make a spectacular play. He gave it the full layout too, outstanding effort!

Breathitt has improved a bunch since earlier in the year. I don't think they start any seniors and only a couple of juniors. Also a few new asst. coaches who have helped a lot.

Not much of and eye opener. Breathitt has some good talent and soe good pitching. What this win states, is that the 14th can go to, almost anyone. If, the oppurtunity arises.
