St. X 11 Butler 1

Featured Replies

St. X defeated Butler 11-1 last night at Tiger Park. When the Bears scored quickly in the top of the first inning, it looked like it could be a long night for the Tigers. But St. X pitcher, Kyle Just and his impressive defense, stepped up and shut them down for the remaining 4 innings of the game.

An early double by Kal Scheler, boosted by back to back triples from Brian Erie and Ben Zoeller, sparked the Tigers to an early 5-1 lead in the bottom of the 1st. Their bats came alive again in the 4th as they scored 5 more runs to put the bears on ice. The tigers scored the final run in the bottom of the 5th to put the game away for good.

The Tigers had an explosive 15 hits and improved their record to 15-8.

Kyle Just picked up his 3rd consecutive win on the mound and improved his season record to 3 and 2.

Congrats Tigers. Good win.

It seems that X is quietly putting together a pretty good season.

Looks like X is hitting its stride at the right time. As usual, the 7th ought to be a war.

The Tigers have had a few good wins lately! The region should be the usual dog fight.
