Junior pitchers for both teams pitched complete games. Lafayette scored runs in the 1st, 2nd and 5th, to have a 3-0 lead going into the bottom of the 7th inning. However, Henry Clay started the 7th by getting two runners on with a double and an error. The next batter hit a double, driving in those two runs and going to third on the throw to the plate. With no outs and a runner on 3rd, Lafayette's pitcher struck out the next two batters and got the final out on a ground ball back to pitcher.

 

A well played game on a pretty night for baseball.
