First of all it was not that many pitches, believe me when I say Matt's dad knows how many it was! To imply Matt's dad and our Coaches would ever do anything to harm a player's arm is just sad! Matt was throwing just as hard if not harder at the end and wanted to go the distance.Great win Dixie!!

 

I don't think anyone ment the coach was doing something to harm his arm. Maybe the coach didn't realize how deep in the count he was. Matt was throwing really well and probably wanted the complete game. But, anyone watching the game knew he had thrown a lot of pitches. The way Boone was playing use your reliever and start Matt's rest for the next big game.
