The Raiders handed the Breds their worse loss of the season tonight behind steller pitching by Brian Weis who carried a no hitter for 4 2/3 innings allowing only one other baserunner via a walk in the first inning. Weis had command of his spots with the fastball and mixed in the change and breaking ball to keep the Breads off stride all day. A seven run first inning by the Raiders, who once again hit thru the line up dug too deep of a whole for NCC to get out of. Junior Austin Seabald pitched the 5th and allowed the only unearned run of the game for NCC.

Winning pitcher: Weis / 4 innings- 0 runs- 1 hit- 4 K's- 1BB

Loosing pitcher: Litmer / 2 innings- 8 runs- 6 hits- 0 K's- 4 BB

Hitting Leaders: Ryle - Wagner 2/3 2B - Humphrey 2/3 2B - Hughes 2/2

Sheehe 2/3 2B and a bunch of singles & walks.

Can't get too comfortable though, there are some very good ball clubs like Cov Cath, Boone, and Holy Cross hanging around at the top.

I completely agree, but with that said, Ryle faithful can't complain about what they are seeing.

Very nice win for Ryle. They're really proving themselves in the early part of the schedule. Not only are they winning games they should, but they're doing it in convincing fashion.

IMO CCH is the only team that will compete and possibly beat Ryle for the 9th region title this year.
