Lincoln Co 0-2

Christian Co 0-2

Fairdale 1-1

June Buchanan 0-2

South Laurel 1-0

Shelby Valley 0-1

Warren Central 0-1

Adair Co 0-1

Oldham Co 0-0

Paducah Tilghman 0-0

Elliot Co 0-0

Its interesting to see that some coaches prefer to play the best compitition possilbe while others try to build confidence playing a more conservative schedule. Which do you think best prepares a team for the Sweet 16? So far in this year's Sweet 16 the team with the tougher schedule has won 4 of the 6 games.

This is the reason why I think we'll be seeing Holmes and Scott Co on one side of the bracket and Ballard against whoever in the other side.

Tougher schedules do pay off at the end of the season.

The 4 games Holmes played against top 10 teams were all played against the same team (Cov Cath). Cov Cath is a tough nutt to crack though.

True South Laurel didn't play of top ranked teams in Ky, but they did play a lot of top ranked teams outside of Ky. Also you have got to understand that the schools have contracts that have to be honored with other schools. Which means you can't wait untill the season starts and then pick which teams you won't to play.

Holmes also played GRC

Most schedules are made out Sweet 16 week. True SL does have to play Williamsburg and Whitley Co but I had rather a program of SL status play a few games against the Scott Counties and Bryan Stations of the world and maybe drop a few games against the Knox Centrals of the world. I think Wright has the philosophy of playing a couple instate games against top notch compitition (Clark Co and Madison Central) a few good out of state teams and then a bunch of 12th and 13th region schools to build the confidence and record up.

GRC was a very good team but not top 10. They were ranked in the top 20 but not top 10. After the regional and today, maybe they should have been.
