District 4 play resumes this Friday night when Shawnee (2-3) visits Danville (5-0, 1-0). The Admirals got their district play started last week, defeating Washington County (1-4, 0-1) in a delayed game on Saturday morning by the score of 41-26. The game was closer than the score indicates as Washington County found success in the first half containing a lot of Danville's explosive playmaking but the Admirals were able to reel off quick scores and then get a timely interception to put the game away. Quarterback Dillon Cruver threw for two scores, which eventually opened up the rushing attack for Jayvian Meaux in the second half. But defense continues to be a concern for the Admirals as Washington County had a lot of success punishing the Ads on the ground throughout the game.

Shawnee will be playing their first district game of the year. Last week they defeated Fort Knox (1-4) 32-13.

Last season the Admirals went to Shawnee and imposed a running clock in a 41-0 victory. What happens this season?

I can't imagine a much different result from last year. What an odd district.
