Cov Cath notched their second 10-0 win over Holy Cross this season, knocking the Indians out in the first round of districts on Saturday. Cov Cath right fielder Jack Nolan had a 5 RBI day that included a grand slam, and sophomore pitcher Nick Thompson waved 10 batters in a complete game shutout in 5 innings.

The Colonels (19-15) will face Beechwood (28-9) in the 35th District Finals on Tuesday at Cov Cath. In their previous game this season Beechwood trounced Cov Cath, beating them 13-5 in Park Hills back on May 7th.

Isn’t their 20 win streak on the line since 1987? They need another win.  Will they get it?

That ended a few years ago. They finished 18-15 back in 2022.
