Final

Bad news for Raiders fans. McCreary will play Wayne in the opening round district tournament, which is held at Wayne County.

 

#1 Southwestern vs. #4 Monticello

#2 Wayne County vs. #3 McCreary Central

 

McCreary, Southwestern, and Wayne are all capable of winning the district title. I would give the edge to McCreary in momentum, currently, but they haven't played well against Wayne this year.

I attended the game and was shocked at how Wayne played. They were up by 2 at the half and at the end of the third Q down by 13. They had a hard tim handling the pressure of the press Southwestern played. Wayne was dribbling the ball of there feet and had a hard time making free throws and shots! With 5:50 to go in the game and Wayne down by 15 Wayne pulled all starters and cleared the bench! If McCreary plays well the Raiders have a good chance to win from the looks of last night!!!

Southwestern is starting to get over the flu and played much better last night. With Schulz at the helm, they will continue to improve as tournament time nears and will be a tough "out" in the post season.

 

The final margin was not indicitive of the game. It would have probably been a 10 point win for SW if Wayne had not subbed so early.

 

It will be an interesting game between Wayne and McCreary. At Wayne's gym but can the Cards beat McCreary 3 times in a season?

Great win by the Warriors. Congrats to Coach Schulz, Big Al, Coop, Fitz , and Gill for securing the #1 seed two years in a row. Make some noise again in the post season.
