2007 Hopkinsville

Featured Replies

What does Hopkinsville need to do to improve in 2007? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

I heard their new quarterback may be better than what they had last year. Replacing Taylor at rb will be tough for them.

Marshall Stewart (QB) will be a nice player for the Tigers. Has the size, arm strength, and is a all "A" student. Descent athlete that will also be able to run the ball but not going to outrun anybody.

The RB position appears to in solid shape. Joe Harris (Junior FB/RB) I think will suprise some people with his running and catching ability. Plus he is a good lead blocker in the FB spot. Antwon Crayton is really emerging back there and running with some physicallity. Cardell McGregor is banged up with a ankle problem for now and DeShawn Johnson can give them some carries. Johnson has good lower body strength but not very big at 5'6 160. It very well could be a 3-4 headed monster at that RB spot this year. Sophomore Darnell Davis is showing signs of coming into his own on the football field and could get some time at RB. He could be the next star in the program but that all depends on him.

Hopkinsville will run more offense this year then they have the previous 2 thanks in large part to the experience returning in the O-Line and now having some descent size up front.

Defensively they will need to get better safety play then they did the 1st 4 games of last year. And the Special Teams can't put them in bad field positions.
