Coach Schum notched his first head coaching win last year at North Bullitt after stepping in as interim head coach. The Eagles finished their 2024 campaign with a 7-6 record, losing to South Warren in the third round of the 5A playoffs. Schum also previously served as an assistant coach at Bullitt Central.

Per @BobbyKnight in the open job thread, Western will not be taking an incoming freshman class next year, which is a heck of a challenge for any sports programs in the school.

Was surprised he didn't get the NB job, honestly. He did a heck of a job finishing out the year with that team. What they lacked in size/talent, he got out of them in heart.
