? | Ashland clobbered Boyd in December with Zander Carter imposing himself on the Lions for a season high 38 points, including 7/9 behind the arc. Jacob Spurlock struggled mightily from the floor that night, sinking just 5/20 field goal attempts. He has yet to maximize his abilities on the offensive end against Ashland this season, scoring 26 points combined in both meetings for a player that averages nearly that much per game. Jackson Childers rose to the occasion in the late January rematch with a 21 & 10 double-double to help offset another big night from Carter (36 pts) and lead Boyd County over the Tomcats in a game that recalibrated expectations for the region and proved that Ashland can in fact bleed at the hands of a 16th Region opponent.
