nkypete Posted August 17, 2024 Posted August 17, 2024 Covington Holy Cross traveled to O.W. Davis Field to play Dayton in the year's final scrimmage. Live action for 3 quarters with a running clock in the 4th quarter for the younger players. Holy Cross wins the scrimmage 21-14. No stats. Neither team had jerseys with numbers and the yard markers were not available for use. I was impressed that both coaches talked to both teams together at midfield before the game. Players were told to keep their mouths shut and attitudes in check. Zero tolerance. Yes, there had been some history in prior years. I'd say the talks worked. Scrimmage was very clean. Next week, Holy Cross opens at Sayre. Dayton hosts Gallatin County. 3 1
