HBO: Charlie Hustle and the matter of Pete Rose

Anyone check this out yet?

I watched the first couple of episodes last night. It does a good job intertwining Pete's on field and off field life. Covers the rise of the Big Red Machine and Pete's fall from the game. The producers give Pete ample time to tell his story or his version of it, while pushing back with several accusations made about him. More than once you see Rose saying one thing while on screen you see proof to the contrary.

Pete comes off as cocky, arrogant, broken and even humble at times. Pete doesn’t fit in an easy hole and so far this documentary doesn't try to force him into one.

He is what he is, good and bad.
