? | Three meetings a year - minimum - are a given for northeastern Kentucky's greatest roundball rivalry. The Lions have taken the first two this season, each by six points. Ashland has played well both times, Boyd has been just a hair better. The ebbs and flows have made for high drama, with each side making runs to both open leads and close them. Neither will wander where the other can't follow.

Zander Carter and Jacob Spurlock are the leading men, both averaging in the neighborhood of 23 points and six rebounds per game. The supporting casts are award worthy, as well. Ashland is capable of scoring in bunches, but it may serve them well to avoid a track meet with the state's #2 scoring offense.
