One of the most horrible called games I have ever seen. Don't have any stats at this time.

McCreary had 19 fouls in the first half compared to 6 for Onieda.

 

Chris Hale played 2:33 seconds in the first quarter and received 4 fouls, one a technical. Whenever a player lined up at the line for the technical shots, all of the other players moved beyond halfcourt. The Onieda player missed both, and then the refs gave another player the opportunity at two, he made both of his. After that, another played was given an opportunity and missed his first shot.

 

Worst game I have seen in my lifetime...

That foul situation sounds werid, must have been 2 T's and also a one and one freethrow as well, I assume this game was in Tenn.

It was in Tennessee. Actually, it was one T and apparently after the first kid missed both of the shots, it turned out that the Onieda coach didn't want that player at the line and they swapped. The last was a 1-1, and he missed the frontend.

 

The foul situation was ridiculous... I've never saw three referees so biased about a game. The "main" ref, who looked like a NYC Pizza maker, called one foul on Onieda and zero turnovers. The other two actually weren't as biased as he, but they were a little.

 

The police were also used in this game and the fans for both sides were errupting the entire game. McCreary fans stormed the court after the game (mostly due to poor officiating and still winning), but were sent back by the "local authorities."

 

Kind of like the quote that says great teams can still whenever the referees won't let them.

Wonder what would have happened if the next kid also missed the 2 T shots? The coach pick someone else.LOL Glad the Raiders came away with a win, they will have something ( the game) to talk about for awhile. By the way what does a NY pizza maker look like anyway? Just wondering.

The way you describe it I kind of wish I had been. MC seens to have played alot of games lately, must be getting a little tired.

Well, they played Friday @ East Jessamine. Home against Scott County, TN yesterday and tonight they played @Oneida. They play again Friday at home against Southwestern. Tonight, they were without their only true low post Gibson and they could have used him for the "extra" fouls. Players who rarely see playing time and only play during the last minute or so of a blowout, played the first half due to foul trouble for McCreary.

Went to a game fairly near MC one time and 8 of the 12 dressed players fouled out, finished the game with 4 players, 3 of them had 4 fouls. We won by 1 after beating this team by 30+ earlier in the year. Oh yeah, we also got a police escort out the gym and out of town. Sound a little like your night?

A lot like it. We were expected to beat this team by 40+ and after talking to a student who attends the school, who use to attend McCreary, she said that everyone had been talking about how the boys would get blown out by McCreary. Watts, Phillips, Waters (all three starters) had two fouls apiece in the first quarter. Hale, who played a total of 2:33 in the first half had four fouls. After numerous non-calls against Oneida, McCreary was called for a foul. That sent "Raider Nation" into a fury and a McCreary student/fan with a wig and crazy clothes stood right under the goal as the Oneida player shot his free-throws... or was going to anyway. He was escorted away by the police.

I agree SSF this was truly one of the worst games i have ever watched. I didnt know excact stats but i knew it was rediculous. Adam Swiger came through big time tonight with those threes.
