Mason Co./Lex. Cath Score

Featured Replies

Catholic won 85-60. They were up by 4 at the first quarter stop, by about 6 at halftime, by 13 after three; and won by 25. Sorry, I don't have any individual stats. #3 and #4 for Catholic are real ballplayers.

Mason County can stay with the "big girls" for a half or so (tonight and at Scott County last Friday), but their lack of a bench eventually takes its toll. The fact that there were still 3 Royals starters in at the final buzzer in a 25-point loss tells you something.

Glad to see Megan Reese getting PT in her senior season for the Lady Royals; it wasn't looking so good for her early in the year.

Did Lex. Cath appear to be taking it easy on them, or did Mason really stay with them?

It's suprising that more teams don't try to get Mason's key starters in foul trouble. Once one or two of them have to sit on the bench with fouls, the other team has a definite advantage.

And I'm glad Megan's doing well. Hopefully the rest of the season will go well for her!

Catholic had several defensive lapses in the first half. I don't think they were taking it easy, although they didn't press quite as intensely as I've seen them in the past. Mason was able to get it down the floor effectively vs. LC, at least in the first half.
