Tilghman led 42-0 at the half and got the running clock at the 4:45 remaining mark in the 2nd quarter to pick up the district win

PT gets another home game against Logan County next week.

Went back and watch the YouTube video and that block on the punt return was a clean block!

That's kinda a problem we have created for ourselves. I agree with you, I thought it was clean also just from seeing it at the game, but PT is basically every play is a penalty until proven otherwise. These crews are going into all these games with that mindset and it shows. We commit too many penalties for sure, but it's gotten somewhat out of hand how these games are being called.

I agree with your comment these officials come into the game with the mindset that anything close to being a penalty whether or not it is they throw a flag.Coach Thompson even made the comment on his weekly radio show challenging people to watch the receivers blocking downfield on how they were taught to block and that they weren’t doing anything illegal which is being called on them.

I gotta be honest. I have watched all of the PT games either live or on youtube. I have also heard the complaints about officials vs PT for over 10years. I simply don't agree. There are always a couple questionable calls in every game at any level. The majority however seem to be legitimate calls.

Of course coaches and fans are going to feel like they are the target. PT seems to have a lot of careless penalties. It's not a new thing. Perhaps if you think they are getting called for penalties but they are only doing as coached then you might need to have a discussion with that position coach.

Lots of new refs in the region. Give the. Some grace. They will make some mistakes but there is no agenda against any teams.

PT has everything they need to win a state title in 4A this year. They should have home field advantage at least the first 3 playoff games if not more. Work on the penalties, win on the scoreboard and get the title- everything else is just noise.

I'd feel a lot more confident in 3A just simply because PT matched up so well with CAL in the games they played. With the move to 4A, this class is unreal at the top and I've already experienced heartbreak at the hands of Boyle County with that 03 team that was so good.

PT does have a favorable road to get deep in the playoffs, it just worries me big time once they get there. Mistakes against any of these teams and we'll be putting equipment away for the offseason, and as we've seen so far, PT tends to make more than their share.

It's definitely gonna be fun to see how it all shakes out. Crazy things happen every year.

I know 3/4 of the calls against PT are legitimate penalties but the rest of the calls leave a person shaking their head.Last night there were 3 defensive pass interference calls on Allen County that weren’t called.Getting back to what Coach Thomas said they went back and watched the film and the holding calls on Tilghman s receivers were incorrect calls.Getting away from this area in the playoffs what ever round it is might be a good things with different officials. You can look back at the last two years when PT traveled to CAl and the difference in the officiating crew versus this area.

I agree with you to a certain extent, don’t get me wrong I’m not making any excuses for the amount of penalties!I just think we’ve put a target on our own back with the amount of penalties and not just for the reason we are Tilghman. It’s just hard to believe when we play outside of western Kentucky we never see the amount of penalty’s we would normally see!

Great game offense had their way, would like to have seen more of the ground game. Special teams and defense played well also with some of its starters out.

Big congrats to PT big one next week against Logan Co.
