??????? Northern Kentucky's first major meet of the season will take place on the Ryle High School campus this morning. 1600+(!) runners are entered. Schools and clubs entered are listed below. I'll post recaps as results become available.

Further info can be found at the link below by searching either "Calendar" or later in the day(?), "Meet Results."

Varsity races, followed by JV begin the day starting at 8:00 am. Middle School races are slated to start at 10:30, and the day concludes with the Elementary School competitions.

There is a $6 per person charge for spectators (5 and under free).

Good luck to all!

In the boys varsity race, there's an intriguing meetup between three runners with state meet individual title hopes: 3A's Tiger Bartlett of Ryle, 2A's Will Sheets of Cov Cath, and 1A's Nathan Ruth of Brossart.

Expect Brossart, Cooper, Cov Cath, and Highlands in the mix for team podium finishes.

Excellent chances of defending 1A girls champ Beechwood, led by Lily Parke to win the girls varsity race.

Look for Cov Cath to win the boys JV division.

From the first results loading (slowly), it appears the entry list above is inaccurate. I'm posting remotely, so was unable to verify. Cov Cath, for one, has not entered a varsity team. That's poor follow up on my part.

Boys Varsity ~

First place: Tiger Bartlett, Ryle 16:05.34

No official team scoring yet, but it appears Cooper has won the team title.

? Full meet results have been uploaded. Cov Cath did enter a JV squad.?

Cooper's win was paced by top 10 finishes by Paul Van Laningham (3th) and Salah Farah (6th). Congrats to the Jags!

Villa Madonna, finishing second, looks like it'll be a player in the 1A Regional, nudging ahead of St. Henry and Brossart for second.

Campbell Co.'s Jonathan Christopher was runner-up to Bartlett. Brossart's Nathan Ruth (4th) was the first Class 1A finisher.

Top 5 Teams: 1. Cooper 77, 2. Villa Madonna 97, 3. St. Henry, 4. Mason Co. 107, 5. Bishop Brossart 111.

Kudos to @98NCCalum's boy for stepping up in his first varsity race. ? Would love to read some "color commentary" from him on the day.

 • Girls Varsity ~

As predicted, Beechwood did win, besting GGCL D1 Cincinnati Seton. Congratulations Tigers!

Race winner Olivia Holbrook of Campbell Co. paced the Camels to a fourth place finish with a 19:18.90. Lily Parke (2nd) and Charli Getting (8th) led Beechwood to the title.

Scott didn't enter a team today. I'm curious to see how 3A Notre Dame (3rd) and Campbell Co. (4th) today, will fare against them at season's close.

Top 5 Teams: 1. Beechwood 54, Seton (OH) 67, 3. Notre Dame 84, 4. Campbell Co. 100, 5. Ryle 138

• Boys JV ~

Cov Cath placed all five scorers in the top six, led by race winner Noah Casson.

Top 5 Teams: 1. Cov Cath 19, 2. Ryle 59, 3. Cooper 97, 4. St. Henry 101*, 5. Villa Madonna 101*

• Girls JV ~

Aubrey Poore of Ryle was the race winner, while Cincinnati Seton placed all seven runners in the top ten for a commanding win.

The Top 5: 1. Seton (OH) 22, 2. Notre Dame 66, 3. Ryle 73, 4. Beechwood 80, 5. St. Henry 146.

Conner finished 7th out of 20 teams in the AA (Large School) race. Well done in a very good field.

Two Cougars cracked the top 20 finishers: 6. Joey Carroll 15:32.3; 17. Nathan Hopper 16:02.5.

Team and individual results here ~
