NDA knocks off a talented Southwestern team in the WGM Holiday Classic.  They will now get a shot at the winner of GRC and Mercy for the championship.

Coach Murphy has his young team believing they can win.

Hubert leads all scorers with 24 with Kendra Collins contributing with 11. NDA bench gets involved with Rylie Robertson and Rosemary Miller putting in another 14 combined.

Southwestern’s Payton Acey puts up 20.

Yes definitely a fun team that truly enjoys playing together, they are a very cohesive group. That being said, they haven’t seen the type of athleticism and physicality that GRC will bring. It will be a good measuring stick. Even if this game is lopsided for GRC, Coach Murphy has his team “on schedule.” Getting through a fairly benign first two weeks then advancing to the finals of this tournament is likely in line or a bit better than anticipated.

Yes. GRC is at another level than this young team.  But it will be fun to see NDA against one of the top teams in the state.  The Byers sisters are amazing.  Hopefully it’s not a running clock.
