Quiet_Storm11
Our hearts go out to his wife Jennifer and his family. He had been ill for some time. He was just 57 years old. Chris began his career coaching football and teaching social studies at Scott County in the fall of ‘89 under Clyde Mcconnaughhay. He was the head coach in 1996. From 1999 to 2017 Chris was an assistant for the Cardinals. He had 7 undefeated seasons as the freshmen Head Coach, and was the eyes in the sky in the press box for Coach McKee during that time. Coach Hatfield was an excellent baseball umpire and loved to play the horses. He was known for his intelligence and witty humor. I was especially fond of him. He was originally from Belfry. We are hurting today with the loss of our great friend.
DevilMayCare
Never underestimate the value of a great, loyal, committed assistant. Rest in peace, coach. That's two gone in a span of a few days under the age of 60. What a week. 😞
