Marietta Wheeler, GA with one of the top players in the 2007 Class, J.J. Hickson, slipped by Lexington Catholic by two points.

Although Bryan Station lost by 14, that is impressive to do against the #2 team in the nation.

What does this say about Kentucky schools that are without big names? [Lawal, Hickson, Mayo and Patterson (HH)]

Kids here have a good understanding of the game, as well as teams are well coached. Schools in KY usually don't rely on individual talents, but rely on the 'team' concept of the sport. The top teams in KY will play right with the best this country has to offer on a consistent basis. Even if they should lose by 30 on paper.

A little off subject, but I figured Scott County should have been invited. It would have gave the tournament some more talent from the state against out-of-state teams.

I listen to the coach of Christian Life, LA, before the Madison Central game last night, and he said one of the reasons he brought his team here was because he felft the teams in Kentucky have a very good knowledge of the game and would be very good competition for his team.
