Here you go, not a lot of movement this week but we have a team that returns since they haven't lost since Week 1.  Which means we had to say good bye to Holy Cross for now.

1. Notre Dame (5-1-1)

• This week they have a match with Dixie, then a trip to Zionsville for their annual gig there

2. Cooper (5-2-1)

• This week they have Simon Kenton (who by the way Maher always loves) then Trigg Co and Murray

3. Dixie (3-3-2)

• I see only 1 game this week against the Pandas

4. Campbell County (4-2-2)

• They have Scott then Highlands

5. Conner (7-3-1)

• They have GRC and Beechwood

6. Highlands (3-4-1)

• They have NCC and Campbell County, could be a clean sweep for the Birds if they come to play on Saturday.

7. St. Henry (6-1-1)

• The have Brossart

8. Simon Kenton (6-1-3)

• They have Cooper

9. Brossart (3-3-1)

• Paris comes to visit

10 Beechwood (5-2-1)

• O boy they go to Holmes to pad their goal scored stats then have a big game against Conner

footnote:  I have seen people put team records as W-T-L and also W-L-T, I am a fan of the W-L-T order so that is what I do.....

Weds Recap

We had some really interesting games last night for the NKY teams, I thought I would run down a few of them.

Campbell County blanked Scott 3-0

NDA somehow just snuck by Dixie 1-0, don't know how to read this.  Was Dixie just playing incredibly or is NDA really hurting without having Abby Unkraut anymore controlling the middle.

Conner knocked off GRC 2-0

Highlands seemed to finally find the back of the net, they had plenty of chances to make this much more lopsided.  Kudos to an INCREDIBLE night by NCC's keeper, she played outstanding!  Highlands wins 4-2.

Beechwood as expected puts the smack down on Holmes 13-0.

Holy Cross takes care of business beating Walton Verona 6-0

Then there are 2 games that SHOCKED ME!!!!!

Simon Kenton blanking Cooper 3-0.  Do we have any field reporters that can shed some light on this game?  No offense to SK b/c I know they have been playing really good soccer this season but I am shocked that they were able to keep Maleah Alexander and company from scoring ANY goals!  

The other game that made me take notice was Boone County beating Ryle 1-0 on a beautiful header in the back of the net to be the only score of the game!  Job well done BC!!!  This is the same Ryle team that just one game ago tied Campbell County 1-1!

 

"Was Dixie just playing incredibly or is NDA really hurting without having Abby Unkraut anymore controlling the middle?"  Specific to the NDA side of this question, Yes NDA is hurting without Abby controlling the middle, but it is a bit more than that.  Other injuries and others still coming back from injury have created lineup and position changes across the field game to game.  My opinion (I am not psychiatrist) is that the adversity has created a lack of confidence (in particular on offensive third) that you typically see from a NDA team.  It would be good to see the girls stop thinking about who is not there, and just go play the game.
