Beechwood moves to 5-0 on the year with tonight's big win over Dixie Heights (4-1). The Tigers were led by senior right-hander Sam Cottengim, who allowed only one hit and two walks in five innings of work earning his first varsity victory. Offensively, the Tigers blistered Dixie pitching registering 13 hits on the day.

Junior RF and leadoff man Cameron Boyd blasted a grand-slam in the 3rd inning to put the game out of reach. Boyd, who now has two homers on the season, finished 2-3, with two runs scored and four RBI's. Junior catcher Brice Estep finished 3-3, with two doubles, a single and a sac fly. 

Beechwood is now averaging 12.4 runs per game, including 20 versus Roosevelt (Wyandotte), MI, 13 versus Dixie Heights, and 11 versus St. Henry.
