Lafayette names Jon Lawson interim football coach.

Jon Lawson has been named the new Head Coach at Lafayette High.

Per the Herald-Leader, Lawson is currently a member of the athletic department. He has been on the football coaching staff at Lafayette previously, but recently stepped away to be able to follow his son's college football career more closely.

Coach Lawson told the HL he's approaching the job with the intent to take over as head coach and remove the "interim" tag.
