Newport 7th & 8th grade Champions

Per Facebook (which is always very accurate)

Both Newport boys 7th & 8th grade were their respective Middle School league champions.

Added bonus apparently they were both undefeated in their season.

Anybody have any other texture regarding this?  

With both of these grades being as successful as they were PLUS Newport making it to the Championship game in the Jack Kaelin Fresh Tourney against Cooper, it looks like Newport is about to ride a wave of success in Basketball in the 9th Region.

Both teams have a lot of talent, looks bright in Newport.  
 

However, both teams did lose to Highlands 7 and 8.  Outside of the small school division, but losses nonetheless.
