Rebel Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 I've done 7 Bourbon Chase's on a 12 person team but 2021 will be twice as hard on a 6 person team doing the 200 mile relay. Double the miles and half the down time between runs. Thinking this is going to be harder than my Marathons. I'll have 6 different runs totaling over 34 miles through out the Bourbon Trail. My first run in Washington County will be 12.2 miles of nothing but hills on Loretto and Johnson Road real close to Makers Mark. I've trained hard with over 300 miles the past 2 months and down to 167.4lbs. Back in 2010 I was 310lbs. Looking forward to check the 6 man Ultra off my bucket list.
bugatti Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 Oh wow. Good for you, Rebel. You’ve come a long way in your running journey! I didn’t realize you do six separate runs for the ultra, I assumed it was three longer runs.

If we did the 3 runs my first one would have been 20 miles with 2 more to go. We decided to do 6 shorter ones instead of 3 long runs. Only draw back is less down time.
Rebel Posted October 21, 2021 Author Posted October 21, 2021 Have to rank the Ultra Bourbon Chase on one of my most accomplished race I’ve ever done and would place it right there with the Disney Marathon.
