Omar Harrison 4 yard TD run makes it FS 7-0 at 9:35 in first.

ACS with a QB keeper TD. PAT fails so it’s FS 7-6 at 4:29 in first.

ACS with a TD drive leading 12-7 after the first play of the second quarter.

This game turned when Franklin-Simpson had a false start on 4th and inches on their own side of the field. They still went for it and came up short. Patriots leveraged short field and got on the board, and momentum hasn’t abated since.

Jax Cooper fumbled for ACS when he tried to cut back instead of running for the sticks, and that has given Wildcats initiative again.

Franklin-Simpson scores to make it 18-14 just before half. They will start the second half with the ball. A new game again.

Finally a little life in the Wildcats. FS with a TD 29 seconds before halftime. ACS leads 18-14.

Comparative scores don’t tell the whole story, but ACS lost to White House Heritage by 19 points, while FS beat WHH by 20 points. Greenwood put a running clock on ACS while FS played the Gators close until the fourth quarter. I was expecting a comfortable win for FS but that is clearly not the case. ACS always seems to play their best game every year against FS.

ACS gets a 31 yard field goal just before the half. ACS leads 21-14 at halftime.

FS stops ACS on downs and takes over at their own 25 trailing 21-14 halfway through the third.

FS promptly fumbles a handoff back to ACS.

FS gives up a deep pass for a first down on 3rd and 29 then ACS scores a few plays later. ACS 27-14 with 1:54 in third.

Two long Harrison runs set up a short TD run for Wells. FS cuts the ACS lead to 27-21 with 9:36 to go.

Long TD run for ACS makes it 33-21 Patriots with 7:07 to go.

Final score ACS wins 33-21.

ACS came ready for a district game against a big rival.

FS put forth their most disappointing, lackluster, pathetic showing in many years.
