St. Henry 65 West Carter 48

All A Quarterfinal Final From West Carter.

The St. Henry Crusaders’s quest to repeat as the All ‘A’ Champs didn’t exactly come easy as the West Carter Comets gave them all they wanted for about 3 ½ quarters, and then St. Henry began to pull away as they punched their ticket into the All 'A' Classic Final Four.

West Carter has a good team with decent shooters who kept responding, and never allowing the Cru get more than a 6 point lead much of the game. As a St. Henry fan, I trusted that they’d pull this one out, but it was certainly in question much of the game giving me that queasy little feeling one gets when they begin to worry a bit, especially when Vieth got back to back fouls in the 4th giving him his 3rd, and Jude Bessler getting his 4th shortly thereafter, and Shey also picking up his 3rd.

Bessler down the stretch was big with a couple of clutch 3’s to extend the lead where they finally got ahead by 7, then 9, then 11, then 13 and so on as they went on a fantastic run for the last 4 minutes of the game to put it away.

Jude Bessler, and Cody Teeten lead all scorers with 16, with Teeten going 6-8 from the field, and 4-4 from the line.

Cory Shey 10
