Because Newport has been struggling this season, and aren't even a Top 10 team in the 9th, while Conner has had a decent season, and are pretty secure a Tier 2 or 3 team in the 9th Region. Definitely in the Top 7. The final score was much closer than I would've expected. Going in I would've thought that the Cougars would've been about a 15 point favorite at least.
