Aces return to stir up Hornet's nest in Lewisport

McLean County turned 2A District 2 on its head last year, upending Owensboro Catholic to wrestle away the district crown from the Aces, who had previously owned the district for years. A year later, it's Hancock County that now stands in position to deny the historical district kingpin. The Hornets stung the Aces on October 16th, turning away a two point conversion attempt late in the game to help seal a 30-29 win. Hancock dictated the line of scrimmage, ran for 300 yards, turned the Aces over three times, and lived in OCath's backfield most of the night.

You could reasonably accuse Owensboro Catholic of being caught off guard at the time by a team they had dominated for a decade. No such accusation can be leveled this time.
