West Carter (8-1) is coming off a 36-6 win over Prestonsburg and Shelby Valley (8-2) a 29-22 win over Martin County. These two teams met up in the regular season and West Carter handed Shelby Valley a 53-14 loss in Virgie. Predictions? I like the Comets to repeat as district champions and win by 4 scores.

Comets should roll again. The most interesting aspect of this game might be Cline's stat line. He needs 320 yards to become West's all-time rushing leader. I don't think he gets it all against Valley, but I also wouldn't be surprised if he did.

I'm thinking the game will be well in hand before he gets near that number, though.

Cline is more than capable of running for 320+ if the rematch is anything like the first game this year. I don’t see him playing long enough to do it though. In the regular season matchup, Cline ran the ball 13 times for 164 yards and 4 scores in one half of play. I would expect another night like that in terms of  attempts and yards.
