Paintsville opened the 2020 season on the road against East Jessamine. Paintsville ended up getting the win 39-24. Paintsville was trailing early in the game, before finally turning it on to get the win. Paintsville a week later was suppose to playing Crittenden County on the road, then was changed to Paintsville, then cancelled. The Paintsville Tiger chose to not look for a game. So Paintsville sits at 1-0 still on the season. Hazard comes into the matchup at an uncharacteristic 0-2 on the season. Hazard hasn’t started a season out like this since 2004.  Hazard looks to rebound and steal a victory on the road against the #2 team in the BluegrassPreps 1A Top 10. Hazard was upset in week 1 against Floyd Central 24-21. Hazard had a solid showing last week against Danville, but it wasn’t good enough to get the win and they fell again 27-15. Who wins this matchup? Will Paintsville flex it’s muscle again? Will Hazard come to town and throw a wrench in the 1A show?

Were you thinking Paintsville should have looked across town for a game? Sure seems like it.   

As for this week's game,  I think it's competitive but Paintsville ultimately is too much and pulls away 28-10.
