Heres a head scratcher for ya....

 

Dayton was up 49-48... Villa puts up a shot that is off and then rebounds and tries to put it up, ref blows the whistle to call a (questionable) foul... only problem is the clock reads 0:00.... so Villa hits two free throws with no time on the clock to win... I talked to extremely reliable sources to get the explaination, which was.... the referees said they didn't hear the horn so the game wasn't over...:confused: :confused: :confused: tough break for the devils...

sounds like a heck of a game, to bad it had to end like that.

Tough loss for the Devils... didnt they lose by 1 the other night. Dilts is turning that program around down there... it may take a few more years though. As far as the call... that is weak. You don't call a foul with no time remaining....you let it play out. JMO but you don't let a team win the game on the foul line with 0:00 on the clock...unless the guy gets murdered or something. The ref probably had somewhere he had to be...:irked:

 

However I might add.... nice job by the VM player to nail the 2 Free Throws to win the game... I am sure he was mobbed.... where was this played?

This makes 2 consecutive Friday's to start the season for Dayton with tough losses... they lost to Bracken Co. last week by 2...

Very true on the foul shots... as I watched I couldn't help but compare it to Memphis a few years back with Darius Washinton Jr.... though there was a little more on the line there... I beleive the young man that shot's name was Craighead?.?.:confused:

 

where is was makes it even worse... the Devils were on their home court....
