Final.

While Russell has been playing good ball a lot of people felt like this may be an upset. Imo, the chance to upset this Ashland team has passed. The team that beats them is just gonna be a better team than they are.

Nice win for the Tomcats. I thought they would win, but not by 20. I honestly thought Russell would end up losing by 5-10 points. I believe Rowan will be Ashlands toughest opponent in the region. But I still think Ashland will represent the 16th in Lexington.

Personally, I didn't feel that Russell would upset Ashland. I hoped it would be, but deep down I knew it probably wasn't meant to be. Ashland shoots the ball too well. At one point they were 7 of 13 from 3. Russell was a streaky shooting team this year.

Russell has a really good team and they have progressed as this season has went on. Ashland just has a special team at this point in time.

Russell loses 4 key players to graduation. Next year might be even rougher for Russell.Tristan Miller, Charlie Bechtel,Max Cantrell,Jared Goodman.Malakai Anderson Graduates as well. A bright spot is they return Charlie Jachimzcuk and Brady Bell. They are going to need some younger kids to step up and help Bell and Jachimzcuk if they want to make the region tournament again.
