Yep, you read that title correctly. A man who has been in a long legal battle with his ex-wife asked the judge to allow him to have a sword fight with them.

 

My favorite part of the article is that he asks for 12 weeks leave in order to procure the needed swords hahaha.

If they use the medieval German rules for trial by combat for marital purposes he may not want to do it.

 

It would consist of him standing in a hole up to his waist for the duration of the fight while his ex would be fully ambulatory.

 

Not sure how it applied to attorney's though.
